• Grassello Bling Bling is a three-coat application.
• Start with a primer. You can use our Sand Quartz Primer or a standard latex primer. For the application, you’ll need a stainless-steel trowel.
• First coat: Apply the first coat as smoothly as possible and allow it to dry completely. Drying time will vary depending on temperature, air conditioning, airflow, fans, and other conditions.
• Second coat: Once the first coat is completely dry, lightly sand any high spots if needed. Apply your second coat smoothly and thick enough to completely cover the first coat. Allow it to dry 100%, then lightly sand any high spots or corners before moving on to the final coat.
• Third coat: Apply your final coat. Work in sections of approximately 3–4 feet. After each section, stop and use your smaller burnishing trowel to compress and burnish the material. Continue applying 3–4 feet at a time and burnishing as you go. Once the entire wall is complete, go back and burnish the whole wall again.
• Clear wax: For a clear finish, apply our Brill Wax with a sponge, making sure you get 100% coverage. Then buff it with a clean rag or polishing machine.
• Silver or gold wax: Apply the wax with a trowel in different directions. Allow the Marmorino to absorb the wax for approximately 10–15 minutes, then buff it using a polishing machine or clean rag.

• Grassello Classico follows the same three-coat application process as Grassello Bling Bling, but the main difference is the level of shine.
• If you’re looking for more of a matte to semi-gloss finish, Grassello Classico is a great option.
• Apply three coats, following the same process as Bling Bling, and burnish the final coat. Typically, Grassello Classico will give you a beautiful semi-gloss finish. An experienced applicator can achieve a much higher shine through proper application and burnishing techniques.
• Once the material is completely dry, you have two options for sealing:
• Brill Wax: Use this when you want to enhance the shine while protecting the finish.
• Soapstone: Use this when you primarily want to seal and protect the finish without adding additional shine.
• Keep in mind that applying a sealer can slightly deepen the color. Typically, you can expect the finished color to appear around 5% darker after sealing.

• Marmorino Sand is a two-coat application using a stainless-steel trowel or spatula.
• First coat: Apply the first coat nice and smooth, then allow it to dry completely.
• Second coat: The application depends on the finish you want. You can apply the second coat with a little texture, burnishing every 2–3 feet as you work. Or, for a smoother finish, apply the second coat nice and smooth and then come back and burnish it.
• Once the finish is complete, apply Soapstone to seal and protect it.
• Textured finish: Dilute the Soapstone with water and apply it using a sponge.
• Smooth finish: Apply the Soapstone directly with a stainless-steel trowel.
• This gives you the flexibility to create either a more textured, natural Marmorino look or a smoother, more polished finish.

• Carrara Coarse Marmorino is a two-coat application. Because it has a larger aggregate, it stays workable a little longer.
• For a smooth finish: Apply the first coat nice and smooth and allow it to dry. Apply the second coat smoothly as well, working in sections of approximately 4–5 feet. Come back and burnish each section as you go.
• For a skip-trowel finish: Apply the second coat using a skip-trowel technique to create the desired texture. Once the material is dry to the touch, come back and compress it with your trowel.
• Sealing: Seal Carrara Coarse Marmorino with Soapstone Sealer. Dilute the sealer with water and apply it with a sponge.
• Tip: For any finish with texture, it’s better to dilute the Soapstone and apply it with a sponge so the sealer can get into all the textured areas.

• IL Materico can be applied as a one-, two-, or even multi-coat system, depending on how much texture and dimension you want to create. Its larger aggregate makes it ideal for creating dramatic, rock-like textures.
• One-coat application: Apply the material and create your desired texture. You can use the trowel to create scratches, holes, and other natural-looking effects. Once the material is dry to the touch, knock down and compress the texture, then burnish it.
• Two-coat application: For a more dimensional, 3D texture, apply the first coat and allow it to dry 100%. Apply the second coat using a skip-trowel technique or another texturing method. You can intentionally leave gaps and holes and use different trowels to create additional movement and texture.
• For even more dimension, you can add a third or additional coats until you achieve the rock-like effect you want. Once the final coat is dry to the touch, compress and burnish it.
• Sealing & color: For a natural clear finish, apply Soapstone Sealer. You can also seal it before adding different colors of lime wash to create more depth and variation.
• For Il Materico textured surface, apply the Soapstone and lime washes with a sponge so you can work the product into all the different textures, holes, and variations.

• VP Suede is a softer, more refined finish than Marmorino Sand. It combines characteristics of Marmorino Sand and Grassello Bling Bling, creating a smooth, velvety appearance with a beautiful matte to semi-gloss finish.
• VP Suede is a two-coat application.
• First coat: Apply the first coat nice and smooth and allow it to dry completely.
• Second coat: Apply the second coat nice and smooth. Work in sections of approximately 4–5 feet, stopping to burnish each section as you go. Continue this process until the entire wall is complete.
• Sealing: Once finished, you can choose between Soapstone Sealer or Brio Wax, depending on the level of sheen you want.
• Soapstone Sealer: For a more natural, lower-sheen finish. Apply it with a trowel.
• Brill Wax: For additional gloss and shine. Apply it with a sponge, then buff as needed.
• The result is a soft, velvet-style Venetian finish that can range from matte to semi-gloss depending on how it is burnished and sealed.

• Lime Paint is essentially lime plaster that has been thinned down, making it a simple, DIY-friendly finish that creates a soft, natural, cloud-like appearance.
• For the best results, use a proper Italian block-style lime paint brush.
• First coat: I recommend applying the first coat with a trowel. This creates a nice, smooth, consistent base for the finish. You can also apply the first coat with a brush if you prefer—it works either way.
• Second and third coats: Apply with your Italian brush using a crosshatch technique, moving the brush in different directions to create natural movement and variation.
• You can create either a one-tone or two-tone finish, depending on the look you want.
• Pro Tip: The secret to creating a softer, more cloud-like effect is to come back with a dry brush and lightly compress/burnish the material. This helps blend the movement and gives the finish more depth.

N1 Metallic Plaster

• 2 coat system with any trowel or cloud tool.
• Must be applied on top of primer paint that is tinted to the same color of the plaster. *The base color will bleed through.

Note: Please wear gloves and a mask when applying. Remove any valuables around the area you are applying (including on your person) to prevent any damage to objects.

• Our Oxidation Plasters are available in three finishes: Copper, Iron, and Brass. These are real reactive finishes designed to create a natural oxidized effect.
• Application: The material can be applied with either a brush or a trowel. It is thick enough to trowel on but also thin enough to brush on. If you prefer a more fluid brush application, you can add a little more water.
• For best results, we recommend a two-coat application.
• Oxidation: Once both coats are 100% dry, preferably the following day, begin applying the acid activator. The acid reacts with the material and starts the oxidation process, creating the unique aged and weathered appearance.
• For more texture: You can first apply a Marmorino base to create a heavier, more dimensional texture. Once that base is ready, apply the Oxidation Plaster over it. This gives the final oxidized finish more movement, depth, and texture.
• The final appearance will vary naturally depending on the application technique, texture, and oxidation process.

Note: Please wear gloves and a mask when applying. Remove any valuables around the area you are applying (including on your person) to prevent any damage to objects.

• Liquid Metal comes in a powder form and is mixed with polyurethane. The material is sourced from Europe and creates a true polished-metal appearance.
• Mixing: Once the Liquid Metal powder is mixed with the polyurethane, you have approximately a 4-hour working time, so only mix what you can apply within that period.
• Application: Apply the material using either a trowel or roller. A thicker application gives you more material to work with during the sanding and polishing process. If possible, apply two coats for the best results.
• Allow the Liquid Metal to dry 100%, preferably until the following day.
• Sanding & Polishing: Once completely dry, use a professional sanding machine with dust extraction, such as a Festool or Mirka.
• Begin around 320 grit and gradually work your way through progressively finer grits—such as 320, 400, 500, 600, continuing all the way up to approximately 5,000 grit.
• The progressive sanding process removes imperfections and gradually polishes the Liquid Metal, bringing out the smooth, reflective metallic finish.
• Important: Don’t jump directly from a coarse grit to a very fine grit. Working progressively through the grits is what develops the polished metal appearance.

• Our Metal Finishing Wax comes in Copper, Gold, Bronze, and Silver Pearl. It is designed to be applied over Marmorino lime plasters that contain sand or aggregate.
• Important: Metal Finishing Wax should not be used over fine, highly polished Marmorino finishes. It works best over products with aggregate and texture.
• Copper, Gold & Bronze: I recommend first sealing the Marmorino with clear Soapstone Sealer. Once sealed, apply the Copper, Gold, or Bronze Metal Finishing Wax over it. These colors are very concentrated, so applying them directly to the plaster can overpower the original color and make the finish extremely metallic. Sealing first gives you more control over the final effect.
• Silver Pearl: Over a white or very light Marmorino, I prefer applying Silver Pearl directly over the finish.
• When using Silver Pearl over black or another dark color, seal the Marmorino first with clear Soapstone Sealer and then apply the Silver Pearl. This helps control the metallic effect and creates a more refined finish without overpowering the lime plaster underneath.
• Key Tip: With metallic finishes, the base color and whether you seal first can dramatically change the final appearance. Always consider the desired effect before applying the metallic wax.

• Brill Wax is used as a protective finishing wax that also enhances the depth and shine of the Venetian plaster.
• Before applying: Make sure the plaster is 100% dry and the surface is clean and free of dust.
• Application: Apply the Brill Wax with a sponge, working it across the surface in different directions. Spread it evenly and make sure you achieve 100% coverage over the entire finish.
• You want a thin, even application—you do not need to leave a heavy layer of wax sitting on the surface.
• Buffing: After the wax has had time to set, come back and buff the entire surface. You can buff it by hand with a clean rag or use a polishing machine for a higher level of shine.
• As you buff, the finish will become smoother and the color and movement of the plaster will become richer and more pronounced.
• Key Tip: Brill Wax isn’t just for protection—it also enhances the sheen of the finish. The more effectively the surface is polished and buffed, the more shine you can achieve.
